As the leading mobile operator in Egypt and proudly the first to be ISO 14001
certified company in the Middle East, Mobinil recognized the importance of
environmental responsibilities through best practice and consultation, aiming
to manage the impacts and keep up the excellence of our products and services.
Our community investment includes supporting projects that encourage
sustainability and environmental protection, such as Waste Battery Collection
and Recycling, and the tree planting initiative.
We also operate a checklist to help minimize the visual and environmental
effects of our mast sitting and base station building - for example: where
schools or places of natural beauty are concerned.
We believe that if we help to protect the environment, the health and safety of
communities, we also enhance our reputation as a sensitive and sustainable
business.
A program of continual improvement -wide environmental strategy and we aim to
reduce the effect of our operations on the environment and to prevent
pollution.

- Maintain, continually improve, and update our Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001- 2004 standards.
- Comply with legal and other requirements relating to environmental aspects.
- Integrate environmental considerations into business and decisions.
- Manage and reduce consumption of non-renewable and environmentally sensitive resources.
- Control and prevent all sources of environmental pollutants and recycle of waste in an acceptable manner.
- Set measurable objectives and targets, draw up environmental programs, regularly monitor, and review progress through performance indicators.
- Conduct awareness programs and active training for the persons working for or on behalf of the company.
- Communicate this policy to all persons working for or on behalf of the company as well as the community.
Implementing policies of this scale will take time. Despite what was achieved so far, we still have along way to go.
- We also ensure that our community investment includes supporting projects that encourage sustainability and environmental protection, such as our mobile waste battery recycling scheme, and an annual tree planting initiative in Egypt’s governorates.
