In May 2006, Mr. Zohair became VP, Regulatory & Corporate Affairs. Back in 2000 Hashem Zohair joined the Mobinil family as Director of the
Government Affairs Department.
Mr. Zohair has been developing and implementing Business Management Techniques
in the Information Technology and Telecommunication fields for 32 years.
Prior to assuming his position as an active member in the Mobinil family, Mr.
Zohair worked for 20 years at NCR - Egypt. At NCR, he held various positions
such as Managing Director, General Manager, Sales & Marketing Director, or
System Services Director for the Near East Area. He also led several national
projects, one of which was for Telecom Egypt.
He managed the merger with AT&T followed by series of corporate restructuring,
then managed the split of NCR & AT&T.
Mr. Zohair worked for 9 years at the Military Factories High Tech Center, where
he started his professional career, at various positions such as System
Department Manager, Operation Manager, or System Analyst.
Mr. Zohair holds a Bachelor Degree of Science in Electronics, majoring in
Telecommunications from Cairo University.
Furthermore he is very active in the High Tech community, by being a member of
many professional local and international organizations. He is a board member
of the Egyptian High Tech Association .
Mr. Zohair has been appointed by the Ministry of Industry & Technology
Development to serve as a board member on the Chamber of Software & Information
Technology, which is part of the Federation of Egyptian Industries. He also has
been appointed by the Ministry of Economy to serve as a board member on the
Software & High Tech Commodity Council.
