Hassan Kabbani has accumulated twenty years of experience in telecommunications operations’ management across the MENA region. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of five major telecom operations.
In 1999, after several years with France Telecom, Hassan Kabbani joined the Orascom Telecom Group and was soon appointed to take on his first CEO position. Kabbani has worked in different Middle East countries including: Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Algeria, Egypt as well as different countries in the sub-Saharan Africa.
In 2002, he was appointed CEO of Telecel International Holding. Among his achievements was the financial and operational restructuring of twelve GSM operations across the African continent.
In October 2003, Hassan Kabbani was chosen to be the CEO of Orascom Telecom Algeria –“Djezzy”. In the span of five years, the company has added fourteen million new subscribers. During this period, OTA demonstrated outstanding financial results and became a model of success in Algeria, and in the telecom sector within the entire region.
In September 2008, he was nominated as CEO and Board member of the Egyptian Company for Mobile Services “Mobinil” in Egypt. A joint venture of Orange and Orascom Telecom.
Lebanese born, Hassan Kabbani holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing from the Lebanese American University (LAU) followed by several postgraduate programs from INSEAD and ESA (Ecole Supérieur des Affaires).
