Mobinil was recognized as the gold sponsor of the 2009 SIFE Egypt "Environmental Sustainability" Topic Competition in the Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) National Competition held in July 2009, where students adapt their approach to the diverse needs of people in different communities. SIFE Egypt teams competed at the National Competition held on July 13th, 2009 in order to be considered for the Mobinil Environmental Sustainability Topic Award. Mobinil employees were part of the judges\' panel that selected the semi-finalists and top winner. Results were announced and cash awards given on the competition day.

The French University in Egypt took first place, with an impressive set of projects and a very professional presentation. The team represented Egypt in 2009 SIFE World Cup that was held in Germany on October 4th 6th & was announced the 2009 SIFE World Cup Champion. Mobinil offered summer training opportunities for students who met Mobinil hiring criteria.
