Mobinil is an Egyptian joint stock company under the Law No. 8 of 1997 "Investment Guarantees and Incentives Law and its executive regulations", was established on the 4th of March 1998. The issued capital of the Company is one billion Egyptian Pounds distributed as hundred million shares, the value of each share is 10 Egyptian Pounds, the company's capital distributed as follows:
- 98,922,559 shares (98.92% of the company’s capital) owned by MT Telecom SCRL (a wholly owned by Orange Group).
- 1,077,441 shares (1.08% of the company's capital) owned by a minority shareholders (free float).
